Hi all! For those of you that use jar (or something similar) storage, what do you use as filler that you've found does not damage the brush handles? I used some stones (the type for plant vases haha) for about three days before I realized it might hurt the handles (and scrape at the engravings!) so I backtracked on that real quick. Would love to hear what you all have found ideal.

I once saw a jar/mug with some pea sized soft silicone-like balls in different colours. Blair Fowler, aka Juicystar007, sold them on her homepage, but that was some years ago. But I'd think they must be for sale somewhere else.

What are fillers for?

I have stuck felt furniture pads in my cups to help protect the handle ends - are fillers used to protect handle ends when brushes are dropped into cups?

Currently my furniture pads are too thick which effectively shortens the depth of my cups (good for short brushes, bad for tall ones) so I am also wondering about better alternatives.

I noticed that at Hakuhodo they use silicone pads to line the bottom of their acrylic display stands, but no idea where to find something like those.

I use to use the bead things but now I'm scared they will damage the handles. I have a pic - one sec.

Like this - - but since I started using HE brushes I've been getting away from it. These puppies cost too much.

Hi!

just finished arranging part of my brush collection and couldnt resist sharing with ur...

I've placed the brushes in lock-and-lock containers so that they'll be dust free, with dividers to separate them according to shape and function.. Double-ended brushes are placed in the pink container together with the chubby little kabukis...

Will prob stuff some cotton wool at the bottom of each hole later to protect the brush end from being chipped off...
Prob not the most space efficient method, but the dust-free factor is a major plus point for me...

Let me know if there's any way to improve it!
haha, have a feeling that i'll be getting another container for the remaining brushes that are still running around either dirty or wet outside...=P

Thanks for sharing @jess88! :ty:
Oh wow I really like it for the kabukis! That is a great idea and one I could adopt since dust is a big consideration for me. Where did you get the dividers?
