I love the Mizubake, Sonia! I prefer it to the J544 so far, but that's because I've been going for a more diffused look and I think the Mizubake delivers that beautifully. I've been playing around with the small eye brushes and I think I may prefer the G5511 to the K005, have to give it a few more days. But it's good to have more brushes to rotate :)

Oh gosh, you've pulled out the HG violin!!! It must be that good then :) But really, I love the shorter length of the hair, although I do prefer the shorter handle which I have for the K005 (well, B005 with champagne handle)

Still adoring the Mizubake!!

I have a question, is the Hakuhodo Mizubake..the large one, at all comparable to the Rae Morris Radiance 27?

I think you mean the Itabake right? I don't have it, but I think Sonia did a comparison of all of the Itabakes and the Radiance on her website...

Thanks Bonnie..
Yes, Itabake! I'll do a search of the site and find Sonia's comparison of the Radiance. I'd like to find either a fan brush or a Itabake that I could carry in my day bag for touch ups at the end of the work day.

PJ, I use the black fan as my touchup brush and it's lovely. A couple days ago Sonia posted about Hakuhodo accessories and I definitely need the little fan brush case to put it in!

Hakuhodo is now taking pre-orders for the 2015 Christmas "Basic 8 Set" (65,600円), which will be released on 11/02.

Not sure if this is the only proper Christmas set (e.g., 2014 Snow Fairy Set) being released for the holidays by Hakuhodo this year, so I wasn't sure about starting a new thread, but thought I would mention it anyway.

I'm surprised the handles are a basic black since it is a xmas set?
