Brush ALERT! KOYOMO Setsugekka brushes

Postby Melissa » Sun Oct 19, 2014 5:11 pm

My heart skipped a few beats when I stumbled upon these beautiful brushes

The gorgeous handles are made of Aizu lacquerware. Something like Urushi-ish technique or something? Haven't got the time to search for its details.

This is their official website but I found them on Rakuten as well:
http://www.koyomo.jp/setsugekka-product.html

Switch to PC site if you're browsing Rakuten from yr phone to see the other brushes!

If I understood it correctly the smallest brushes are "ear brushes"?? But they seem good enough as an e/s brush to me. LOL

This line has won the 2014 design award and I def can see why!! Its DIVINE!!!

Gorgeous brushes and I love that they are white goat. You are such a good brush detective.

@jeanette: and the price are quite "reasonable" too right?! Thank goodness they sell them individually. I hate it when the brushes only come in sets

Im going for this one first I think:

Just looked closer on the used goat and the ones with the special handles "yuki" or "tsuki" should be saikoho and the "Hana" should be sokoho ;)

Oh thanks, Sarah for the clarification. They mention two types of goat hair on the website, but I couldn't see either mentioned for any of the brushes.
